Director - Revenue Management & Analytics - Disneyland - Hong Kong
Job description
The primary goal of the Director, Revenue Management & Analytics is to lead strategies and tactics to drive profitable visitation to the theme park and resorts. This leader is responsible for Pricing, Revenue Management, and Revenue Forecasting for the theme park, resorts, food & beverage, and merchandise businesses. This leader also develops long-term strategic plans for the resort’s expansion, including new attractions, entertainment, hotels, food and merchandise locations.
The Director, Revenue Management & Analytics is a member of the Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL) Steering Committee where he/she provides guidance on driving long term profitable decisions.

Responsibilities
Lead the strategic vision and tactical approach for the Revenue Management area, including Pricing, Forecasting, and Revenue Management to drive revenue and profits for the site. Provide the organization with actionable insights regarding revenue drivers to improve profitability while meeting local and regional strategies.
Utilize channel best practices from Walt Disney Parks and Resorts located around the world into the day-to-day operation and share local learning / best practices with the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts segment team. Create and maintain business relationships with key business partners in Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT and Operations to identify opportunities to improve long term company profits as well as execute the plans on a daily basis.
Lead the revenue & driver forecast, pricing, and revenue management functions by developing a team that is highly proficient in the application of forecast and optimization science. This team needs to be capable of providing in-depth analysis and business insight to improve profits through appropriate pricing and demand management. Lead strategic pricing development for all lines of business (park, resorts, food & beverage and merchandise) that mainly includes theme park ticket prices, hotel rack rates and seasonality promotions. Coordinate the promotional pricing development and recommend actions to sustain the demand and fill gaps.
Develop the team’s talent, including the grooming of future successor(s).
Lead the process of developing objectives and strategies to attract, develop, and maintain motivated and productive cast members in the three disciplines of the Revenue Management team. Balance a data-driven analytical approach with a creative problem solving approach so that complex issues can be effectively defined and holistic solutions delivered.
Identify long term objectives and implement plans to reach those objectives through the empowerment of the Revenue Management cast. Develop and provide accurate short term and long term forecasts for theme park attendance, resort occupancy and revenue per capita (park, resorts, food & beverage and merchandise).
Lead the revenue drivers during the Annual Operating Plan and Five Year Plan processes by providing insight to future sales volumes and revenues. Yield manage hotel and table service inventories to optimize line of businesses’ revenue and profitability.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to meet company objectives. Strategically leverage the packaging of product in accordance with the dynamic nature of China’s marketplace and the industry’s distribution channels.
Provide the HKDL Steering Committee guidance regarding pricing and longer term profitability decisions making
Basic Qualifications
At least 15 years pricing or revenue management experience with a high understanding of forecasting and planning. Proven experience of leading, motivating and managing a highly analytical team in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Able to demonstrate proficiency in establishing strategic direction in a high volume business and demonstrate strong analytic skills and passion to drive results though decision science will definitely be an advantage.
Ability to be multi-tasking with strong organizational skills, cross functional partnering skills and demonstrate business savvy competence is important.
Preferred Education:
Doctor of Philosophy in related disciplines is preferable.
Required Education:
Masters degree in Revenue Management and Analytics or other related disciplines.
