Head - Proposition Management - Asia - Thomson Reuters - Hong Kong


Job description
Defines and articulates the strategic direction of all propositions and our ‘how to win’ plan for Asia. Brings clear “voice of the user” and user workflow and needs analysis to bear on the design of commercially successful value propositions for regional users and their communities. Provides deep domain expertise in the region. Drives community in the region ensuring we increase market share and volumes. Accountable for the health of TR in the sector communities.

Responsibilities:
Owns the community for financial or risk in a region including local territories. Active engagement with users to be aware of market activities, trends and user requirements. Builds Thomson Reuters’ reputation and adoption in the community. Partners with proposition leaders for content. Works with the proposition leads to drive market and proposition innovation and leadership: unique research and insights, community building, influential at industry forums. Maintains strategic regional relationships with market infrastructure participants, central banks, influencers, trade bodies, local non-integrated subsidiaries, strategic partners, content providers, etc.
Identifies and prioritises new growth opportunities to progress (with supporting landscape and market sizing). Defines and articulates the strategic direction of these prioritised new growth opportunities. Works with appropriate proposition managers to create business cases. Understands the regional trends and ensures the knowledge is used at TR to capture market opportunity.
Articulates and prioritises high level requirements from the region to meet business goals and strategy to product management team: gains customer feedback on concept / incubation activities, builds insight on competitors. Works with propositions leaders in creation of holistic designs for specific customer types.
Increases Thomson Reuters’ market value by being an industry leader in the region; takes part in / attends industry events, represents and influences on key industry forums, manages relationship with regulators and content providers. Responsible for receiving and responding to feedback from the Sales on customer needs and can serve as local executive and expert in the market to customers. Engage directly with these customers in partnership with go to market organizations.
Maintains relationships with regulators, maintains knowledge of regulation, and ensures Thomson Reuters adherence to regulation in region.
Works with commercial strategy to adjust pricing policy for the region.

Strong business development experience in the financial services markets building relationships
Experience driving strategic direction of complex information solutions in financial services
Strong interpersonal skills enabling ability to converse at all levels in an organization and across diversity of cultures.
Is a strong cross-organizational collaborator with a proven record of creating organizational alignment.
Proven skills in using multiple points of information to develop business cases.
Able to withstand pressure, meet tight deadlines and work independently with good decision making skills
Fluent proficiency in written and oral English.
