We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Regional Head of Global Banking and Markets Credit Services, Asia Pacific which is responsible for supporting the Global Head of Credit Services & Documentation in the management and delivery of the GBM Credit Services across the Asia-Pacific region. This role is also responsible the development of Business and Risk relationships and management of onshore and offshore personnel.

Principal responsibilities
Provide meaningful credit analysis in partnership with GB Relationship Management for new business transactions and credit annual renewals
Secure the highest standards of quality and timeliness of output through implementing succession plans and effective leadership
Oversee the provision of credit analysis, facility application, review, documentation and associated Management Information (MI) services
Engage and negotiate the most practical and effective way forward for the evolution of GBM Credit Services in the Asia Pacific region with senior stakeholders in various countries
Ensure the development of onshore teams in Hong Kong and other Sub-HUB sites over time
Demonstrate thoughtful leadership, collaborative guidance and best practice in managing the portfolio
Ensure relationships between Global Banking and Markets (GBM) Credit Services, Risk and GBM clients are forward-looking, collaborative and engaged towards mutual business outcomes
Provide the highest quality professional Credit Services to GBM in Asia-Pacific
Provide clear and considered guidance to Offshore teams
Deliver a best in class Credit Risk Management and control environment observing group policy and procedure documents
Develop and manage a forward-looking and strategic relationship with GBM across HBAP
Develop and manage a forward looking and strategic relationship with Asia-Pacific Risk
Deputise for Global Head of Credit Services & Documentation as required
Negotiate boundary changes, recruitment, training and development of an expanding team based in Hong Kong along with teams in India and other Asia-Pacific sites over time.
Contribute to a global DIM and keep it up to date with local procedures
Demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business involved
Drive the contribution of regional credit services business requirements across a diverse portfolio of regional and global business and IT change projects and initiatives
Provide singular influential and strategic leadership with focal drive to Asia-Pacific teams
Desired Skills and Experience
University degree holder with significant experience in investment banking
Experience in both relationship management and credit risk
Strong people management and development skills
Proven ability to prioritise competing demands
Excellent analysis, design and problem solving skills
Strong commercial and financial management experience
Proven track record in a service company type model
Highly developed negotiation and interpersonal skills
Skills necessary to constructively resolve conflicting views
Ability to cope with pressure and tight deadlines
Provide effective representation of business requirements across a multitude of business and IT change initiatives.
Fluent in English and Cantonese. Fluent spoken Mandarin a plus
Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
Deep understanding of the nature of complex and structured finance transactions
Highly developed leadership and management ability
Leadership skills necessary to manage a team of over 20 full time employees
Ability to effectively engage and negotiate with senior stakeholders
