Vice President - HR - Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts - Hong Kong


Job description
Reporting to the Group Director of Human Resources and the Executive Vice President, you will be the strategic Human Resources business partner with the General Managers and Director of Human Resources in the designated region and lead the region in the development and implementation of human resources strategy, aligned with the company strategic objectives.

You will have responsibility for all aspects of human resources operations and talent management and to build owner loyalty through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations and delivering solid business results.

Key responsibilities:

Develop strategies to address human resources implications resulting from emerging business issues, brand initiatives and labour market trends; provide advice to key stakeholders
Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with all stakeholders in supporting key human resources initiatives, improving employee loyalty and engagement
Translate human resources strategy into specific action plans and monitor progress against key initiatives
With the support of the Director of Talent Acquisition, proactively identify and develop talent within the group
Partner with the hotel Director of Human Resources to identify and analyse their operational challenges and facilitate the development of solutions

Desired Skills and Experience
Experiences and skills required:

Mandatory:
Exposure internationally in hospitality industry
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong leadership in a collaborative environment
Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making skills
Effective influence and negotiation skills

Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree
CIPD certification
