Job description
Purpose & Overall Relevance For The Organization
Act as business partner to sourcing team in managing & resolving trade financial issues and to provide sound financial advice / solution. Drive continuous process improvement and system development to achieve financial operation effectiveness and efficiency.
Provide effective service support to customers for their market specific requirements e.g. custom, FX
Act as a core management member to achieve departmental objectives & culture. Drive execution and implementation of business strategies


Key Responsibilities
Work close together with the GOPS teams in the liaison offices and Hong Kong, to resolve any trade management related financial issues. Provide value-adding analysis, financial advice and solution.
Oversee daily financial operation of trade management related activities, covering vendor accounts & payable financial management, claims management and vendor financing program management as well as customer account set-up, billing, revenue accounting, accounts receivable & collection management
Closely collaborate with the FSS in Amsterdam to ensure a successful financial close of the aITBV books. Provide support on the audit process and together with the GFF financial services team, ensure correctness of the aITBV books in GPS.
Establish effective policies & procedures to ensure overall compliance, effective controls and governance.
Execute the group financial strategy of integrated performance management in the team and show agility when working with your business partners. Reduces strategies to tactical plans and execute with excellence.
Provide support on customs audits as per request from Global Customs and/or customers; and tax audits as per request from Group Tax and/or aSL Tax. These audits can occur in any country where adidas does imports and/or adidas has souring operations. Correct and swift turnaround on requested information is key to a successful audit.
Drive continuous process improvement and system development to achieve financial control effectiveness and operation efficiency.
Support the Head of Finance in formulation and implementation of the financial strategy.
Lead and actively participate in major GOPS supply chain and Group Finance projects, with significant contribution towards department goals based on organizational strategy.
Lead the Trade management team and create a motivational and supportive work environment in which employees are challenged, coached, trained and provided with career opportunities.
Train and develop a strong financial management and business driven team.
Develop an effective team structure and succession plan.

Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications


University degree holder with Business Administration / Finance major preferable
Qualified accountant from one of the recognized professional accounting bodies.
Minimum10 years of relevant working experience, with at least 5 years at managerial level, in sizable and multinational trading environment.
Excellent command of written and spoken English
