Job description
The Director, Corporate Affairs & Citizenship for Hong Kong will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of Microsoft‘s public policy initiatives as they relate to our strategic partnerships with government, industry associations, international organizations, customers and partners. The role is to manage and execute on Microsoft’s public policy priorities by developing relationships with government officials directly and indirectly to successfully drive our corporate affairs agenda, as well as technology policy goals. Additionally, you will lead, develop and promote Microsoft HK’s citizenship efforts and community affairs work.

Why does the role exist?
The Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partners Group (SMS&P) Segment Leader drives the adoption and execution of the SMS&P strategy within a sub region to achieve the revenue & profit, share and customer & partner experience (CPE) people targets committed to in the SMS&P Scorecard. The Segment Leader is responsible for overseeing planning, orchestration, and execution of highly effective subsidiary sales and marketing strategies (including customer campaigns), collaborating with colleagues within SMS&P, and with broader stakeholders in the subsidiary including Business Groups, Marketing & Operations (M&O) and Public Sector. As Microsoft solutions for the small and midmarket businesses are delivered through partners, a big part of the strategies and engagements are partner related. The role reports to the country manager and is part of the subsidiary leadership team.

The Segment Leader adds value through the ability to motivate and lead the SMS&P organization, and to create an environment conducive to sustainable success. The role manages according to the following principles: customer and partner focus, accountability, high standards and constructive collaboration.

The ATU Director role adds value to customers by providing an executive presence and continuity to customers at the subsidiary or district level. Success is measured by customer satisfaction (results from NSAT scores and anecdotal feedback), an expanded # of customer contacts and increased penetration into other areas of the customer’s business.

The mission of the Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners group (SMS&P) is to (1) deliver valued solutions to Enterprise customers (Corporate Accounts) and to Small and Medium Businesses, driving revenue, share and loyalty for Microsoft and our Partners; and (2) grow highly competitive partner ecosystems globally and within the subsidiary and region. In addition to customer and partner strategies built around two key business models (Corporate Accounts and Small and Medium Business), SMS&P drives the overall engagement and programmatic approach for our Partner community, and leads cross subsidiary initiatives based on additional strategic goals or market opportunities such as Anti-Piracy, Dynamics, Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) and Surface.
