Director - Product Management - Standard Chartered Bank - Hong Kong


Job Description

The principal purpose of this position is to manage, end-to-end, Hong Kong Cash Management transactional products (Payables and Receivables). The position contributes directly to revenues and margins, customer acquisition and the competitiveness of the bank.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
* Joint responsibility with Sales for delivering the revenue and cost numbers.
* Actively contribute to the overall business strategy.

* Develop tactical plans to achieve our vision and leadership positions.
* Formulate product requirements, develop roadmap and drive investment decisions
* Alliance and Partner management - alternate channels, non-banking channels.
* Customize Group products to meet local requirements.
* Ensure legal and compliance (both internal and external) issues are adhered to.
* Ensure adequate product knowledge and training to sales and operational teams.
* Establish market reputation as experts.
* Speak at conferences, contribute articles, media interviews, organize roundtables etc.
* Active participation in conferences, professional organizations e.g Eurofinance, EIU.

Qualifications & Skills

* University graduate with relevant banking experience, preferably in corporate banking segment
* Experience in product development.
* Experience in analysis of business case
* Good understanding of the banking systems and operations.
* Sound knowledge in banking products, banking practices and regulations. Solid Cash management product knowledge.
* Strong IT knowledge with experience in e-commerce and cash management products/ projects management.
* Strong analytical skills; creative and strategic thinker.
* Good project management and presentation skills
* Good interpersonal skills
* Good communication skills (written and verbal)
