Executive Director - Local Corporates - Standard Chartered Bank - Hong Kong
Job description
* Provide strategic leadership to the Transaction Banking business in the Local Corporates Segment sales team.
* Key areas of responsibility include sales process management, recruitment of world-class talent, appropriate resource deployment, sales model implementation and transparent performance measurement. Direct involvement in key client relationships and strategically important sales opportunities is also a key responsibility of this role.
* This individual is accountable for the overall effectiveness of the Bank's Transaction Banking Business in the Local Corporates Segment and the delivery against defined business objectives for Cash Management and Trade Finance.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
* Accountable for the delivery against all financial business targets set for Transaction Banking by client segment and product (Cash Management and Trade Finance).
* Benchmark Transaction Banking Sales model and overall sales team effectiveness against "best-in-class" competition.
* Implement tailored sales deployment model to efficiently bring to bear the most appropriate mix of resources to address explicit needs of targeted customers.
* Agree on clear, measurable performance objectives for each direct report, ensuring alignment across the team to achieve maximum synergy and organizational cooperation.
* Develop, implement and manage a transparent performance measurement process to allow tracking of actual revenue growth and deal realization by individual Transaction Sales person.
* Support high impact client opportunities through proactive calling and deal team engagement across the network to drive performance and model "best practice" behaviors.
* Be a "player coach" to country sales team by embracing the Senior Calling Program and by assuming personal responsibility for revenue growth of specified accounts.
* Ensure that all processes within the Manager's responsibilities are analyzed and understood, and that all material risks and potential failure points are identified, assessed, mitigated, monitored and reported as required by the Operational Risk Framework and supporting procedures, documents, etc.
* Ensure applicable external laws and regulations and internal policies, procedures, limits and other risk control requirements are implemented and complied.
Qualifications & Skills
* Degree holder or above
* Solid experience in a Product Sales and people management role
* Demonstrated success and track record in a Sales leadership role
* Good communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
