Account Director - BT Global Services - Hong Kong


Job description
To lead the overall sales activity. To maintain and grow existing business. To identify new opportunities for profitable growth. To develop and execute on sales campaigns specific to the finance industry as required.
To achieve annual targets for new sales, revenue and profitability.
To develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the client’s business, their technology environment and their business drivers.
To develop strong relationships with client contacts across the business and technology functions.
To develop and maintain an understanding of BT’s Global Services portfolio, including the Global Banking & Financial Markets vertical portfolio, to effectively develop and be able to present business led propositions to clients.
To write and maintain relevant account development plans. To ensure alignment with regional and/or global Account Development Plan where appropriate. To lead activities around the plan and to review constantly the strategies for success around each client.
To understand and adhere to the Global Services’ operating model and processes, relevant to sales and account management. This includes mandatory regulatory and legal requirements, governance procedures for winning new business and accurate opportunity management on BT’s CRM system.
To lead activities to help develop positive client satisfaction with BT.
To assist the Head of Sales, vertical sales leads and peers in developing and nurturing teamwork, sharing best practice and learning to maximise the team’s capability and effectiveness.

Desired Skills and Experience
Preferred Graduate / Degree Holder with a minimum 10 years working experience in a related technology vendor or client company, including minimum 8 years successful sales / account management experience
Experience working in or selling to financial services companies highly desirable
Client management, including developing effective client relationships
In-depth sales skills
Leadership skills in building, motivating and leading successful virtual campaign teams
Excellent communication and presentational skills
Business management including financial and commercial acumen, as well as forecasting
