Job description
ASSA ABLOY is in the middle of a transformation process going from having IT being managed locally to building up and consolidating into global and division IT platforms. With a large Dynamics AX ERP programme ongoing and a growing business in the region ASSA ABLOY APAC is looking to recruit an experienced IT Director to manage and further develop the divisional IT organisation and IT platform.
The IT organisation consists of 15 people in a divisional Shared Service Centre plus 25 people in local entities across APAC.
The IT landscape consists of a global network, hosting and e-business platforms with divisional ERP and BI systems being implemented.
The IT Director will report to the APAC CFO and become a member of the ASSA ABLOY Global IT Council.
Responsiblitiies:
Implement the global and divisional IT strategy to support operational business efficiency and reporting.
Operate and support the divisional IT infrastructure and application platform according to global standards ensuring a stable and efficient IT environment for the business.
Govern the divisional IT projects and ensure implementation according to time, budget and quality requirements.
Proactively guide and challenge the APAC management team to ensure a thorough and structured decision process for IT matters.
Work with global, divisional and local business stakeholders to define and implement business optimisation and automation (Seamless Flow).
Ensure strict adherence to global and divisional standards, policies and strategies to ensure an efficient and reliable IT environment.
Manage, motivate and develop the divisional IT organisation into a professional IT Service Management organisation based on global standards and tools.
Manage 3rd party vendors and contracts, IT budget and KPI reporting.
Desired Skills and Experience
Senior IT person with extensive business and IT knowledge and experience in managing IT in an international manufacturing company environment. Relevant education plus up-to-date knowledge and experience with current technologies and IT management concepts.
Must have experience in implementation and operation of ERP and IT landscapes across countries, languages and time zones. Dynamics AX knowledge preferred.
The candidate must be a strong minded, analytical and independent person with good communication skills. The role requires full understanding of and involvement in projects and operational issues at different levels both technical and organisational.
Good knowledge about IT Service Management and Project Management is definitely an advantage as the IT organisation and IT platform is still in the implementation phase.
Clear in communication and reporting and fluent in English writing and speaking. Mandarin speaking is also a plus.
Travel will be required at a level of 1-2 times a month.
