Job description
Responsibilities
Establish Application Management strategy, technology solutions roadmap, projects and resources plans to align with business strategy, local and regional IT direction.
Manage application development team and evaluate resources strategy with the optimal mix of business partners and external vendors on application development resources to work effectively and efficiently across the business.

Work with senior business and IT leaders at the Regional and senior level to define, capture and set strategic direction for the company, drive the project prioritization, steer application and strategic projects to meet the needs and expectations of key stakeholders, and lead the IT and user teams to ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and cost-effective solutions to enhance sales opportunities, service quality and operational efficiency, and reduce operating cost for the company. Support the Regional Office to participate in the product evaluation, Proof-of-Concept testing and implementation for the regional initiated strategic and application projects
Evaluate project vendors, manage vendor relationships and monitor vendor performance to ensure service levels and project deliverables are adhered.

Requirements
Degree in Computer Studies, or related disciplines.
Minimum 16 years of working experience in Information Technology with at least 12 years of application development experience in which at least 5 years at senior IT management level in insurance, banking or finance sectors.
Solid experience in managing large-scale projects and outsourcing services.
Strong in driving technology, process, system architecture change and compliance management
Strong technical knowledge in AIX and Wintel Operating Systems, databases such as Informix, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2 and Oracle, and programming languages such as Powerbuilder, MicroSoft .NET and Java/J2EE.
Solid understanding and practical application of project management practices such as Prince and PMP.
