Job/Group Overview:
The role is for a business auditor covering Global Markets, reporting to the AEJ Regional Portfolio Director for Global Markets Internal Audit. The candidate will work closely with peers in other regions with some limited travelling required.
Key responsibilities will cover all of AEJ and include:
Performing risk assessments of Global Markets businesses.
Leading Global Markets and other business audits and working closely with IT Audit on integrated audits. Must have the ability to multi-task.
Identifying emerging business risks, drafting and reporting audit findings promptly to line and senior management and suggesting practical and innovative solutions.
Following up audit recommendations post-audit, assessing residual risk and closing action plans once validated.
Assessing the impact on risk profile and control environment for new businesses or changes to the current business.
Building relationships with auditees and obtaining information to facilitate the department’s annual risk assessment and quarterly continuous monitoring programmes.
Identifying control themes to be included in management and Audit Committee presentations.
Liaising with external auditors and regulators as appropriate.
Learning and applying the department’s audit methodology.
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements:
The candidate should demonstrate strong technical knowledge of the investment banking businesses, and must be able to understand the basic economics and complexity of different Global Markets products
A pro-active approach and the ability to multi-task are essential.
Fluent in English and possess strong communication and analytical skills.
Must have an accounting or quantitative background, a professional qualification and/or at least four years’ business audit experience at an investment bank or similar financial services institution.
Some international experience is preferred.
