Director - Aircraft Management and Charter - Metrojet - Hong Kong


Job description
The role is to lead and manage the Aircraft Management and Charter line of business in the Asian Region. This will be achieved by building the Company’s reputation in the market, developing the growth and sales strategy of the aircraft management and charter department. The incumbent will implement policies that will ensure the safe, effective and efficient operation of Company aircraft and the managed fleet, ultimately exceeding Company and client requirements.


Role Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall business performance of the Aircraft Management and Charter line of business.
Manage all functional areas of Aircraft Management and Charter operations.
Ensure all service irregularities are managed professionally and safely.
Drive commercial and business initiatives to grow the aircraft management and charter business regionally.
Ensure that human resources within the Aircraft Management and Charter department are managed in accordance with Company.
Be accountable for the introduction to service of new airframes or new aircraft types.
Be accountable in supporting DCSQ in all compliance, SMS and quality management issues.
Work strategically with relevant airworthiness and aircraft maintenance Post Holders on aircraft maintenance and engineering matters.
Ensure that crew discipline and flying standards are maintained.
Chair the Safety Review Board meetings.
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and effective relations with aircraft and engine manufacturers and suppliers of goods and services to the Company.
Carry out duties in accordance with the requirements of the Operations Manual.
Develop and execute an organizational plan for all key functions within the Company.
Provide strong and inspired leadership to the employees of the Metrojet Group.

Desired Skills and Experience
An undergraduate degree in business or economics and ideally, an MBA or any other equivalent degree or program from an internationally recognized business school.
A minimum of fifteen years of relevant aviation/hospitality/automotive service industry experience and a well-established industry network and reputation.
International experience and orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively across cultural boundaries. Ideally, but not necessarily, prior aviation experience in Asia. If not directly experienced in Asia, then has ideally been exposed to other developing/remote regions of the world.
An unblemished record as related to his ethical integrity and that of the organizations he has served.
Detail minded, excellent management skills, strong business acumen with reasonable level of financial literacy.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, in English are essential
